ICT Helpdesk Counter This division has also set up an ICT Helpdesk Counter effective from 26 August 2010 to help ministry personnel make complaints regarding any problem or breakdown involving ICT hardware or applications. This division comprises three (3) main units:

ICT Planning Unit
Formulating and co-ordinating the ICT Strategic Plan (ISP) for the ministry and its departments/agencies Planning and managing development allocation for the ministrys computerisation project ICT Steering Committee Meeting Secretariat to assess and co-ordinate ICT projects proposed for the ministry and its departments/agencies Secretariat for ICT Managers Meeting to monitor the development/implementation of ICT projects for the ministry and its departments/agencies Evaluating ICT proposal papers from companies Planning, co-ordinating and managing ICT training for ministry personnel
Management Application Unit and Security Application Unit
Planning, analysing and managing all application system requirements of the ministry Integrating application systems of the ministry and its departments/agencies for the purpose of sharing information and reducing manual activities Planning, developing, managing and maintaining the ministrys portal Planning and monitoring the maintenance of the ministrys application systems Providing advisory services to users of the ministrys application systems Planning and providing application training to users
Technical and Operation Unit
Planning and managing the procurement of ICT hardware and software Managing ICT hardware and software inventories Managing the maintenance and support work of ICT equipment Managing the ICT helpdesk Managing the disposal of ICT equipment Planning and managing the infrastructure at the data centre and its operations Planning and managing the backup/recovery and disaster recovery for all software and  applications at the data centre Planning and managing the implementation of the network system and maintenance of the network hardware and software Co-ordinating the preparation of guidelines on ICT security at the ministry and its departments/agencies Managing the ministrys e-mail
