Client's Charter

  • To ensure that acknowledgement of receipt or notice to applicants on entry permit appeals that are incomplete or not in accordance with regulations are sent within 14 working days of their receipt To ensure that entry permit appeal acknowledgement papers are prepared within 30 working days of receipt of case files as well as complete information from the Immigration Department.
  • To ensure that decisions on applications of certificate of approval and cancellation by the Ministry of Home Affairs for the intake of international students by private institutions of higher learning/private educational institutions/accredited centres are issued within 14 working days of the date of receipt of the complete applications
  • To ensure that decisions on applications for professional visit pass/social visit pass appeals are issued within 14 working days of the date of receipt of the complete applications.
  • To ensure that decisions on applications for the posts of foreign domestic help not from source countries and male foreign domestic help are issued within 14 working days of the date of receipt of the complete applications
  • To ensure that decisions on appeals for expatriate officers that have been rejected twice by the Immigration Department are handled efficiently and effectively as follows:-
    • duration from the date of receipt of complete application and endorsement/support by the relevant regulatory agency to submission of loose minutes to the secretary-general ÔÇô 14 working days: and
    • duration from the date of decision by the secretary-general until notification of applicant - 5 working days
  • To ensure that appeal applications for expatriate officers from the foreign media are handled efficiently and effectively as follows:-
    • duration from the date of receipt of complete application and endorsement/support by the relevant regulatory agency until submission of loose minutes to the secretary-general - 14 working days; and
    • duration from the date of decision by the secretary-general until notification of applicant - 5 working days
